‘Stolen’ bus shelter found in BBMP warehouse

The mystery surrounding the “stolen” BMTC bus shelter on Cunningham Road in Bengaluru has been solved. It turns out that the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had removed the structure due to safety concerns and kept it at a stockyard. The police commissioner expressed confusion as to why a theft complaint was filed when BBMP had removed the shelter themselves. Commuters are now left without a shelter and are questioning when a new one will be constructed. The BBMP had received complaints about the poor quality of the shelter before removing it.
