Take immediate action to stop waste dumping at Bandhwari: Plea in NGT

A resident of Gurgaon has approached the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to stop the dumping of fresh waste at the Bandhwari landfill and the Aravalis. The petitioner highlighted that the dumping of waste and leachate discharge is causing irreversible damage to the ecology and environment. The application also mentioned that waste is being dumped outside the landfill in violation of laws and that leachate is contaminating nearby water bodies. The petitioner requested the NGT to take immediate action and restore the area to its original state.
