Tamhini logs maximum Sept rainfall in Western Ghats

Tamhini in Maharashtra has become the first station among the ghats along the windward side of Sahyadri range to cross the 1,000mm-mark of rainfall in September. Tamhini Ghat now holds the top position in the Sahyadri Ghat region, surpassing Amboli. Other ghat locations along this stretch have not reached the 1,000mm-mark in terms of total September rain. The rain has picked up in September in Maharashtra, with near-normal rainfall expected in the coming days.
