Tamil Nadu finance minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan’s statement on the GST Council and the 5% tax on branded food items are full of contradictions half-truth, BJP state president K Annamalai said on Thursday. “The minister is blaming the Centre to cover up his inability to handle the state economy. It has become routine for the TN government to blame the Centre for its failures and inability to honour its poll promises,” Annamalai told reporters.
