Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, along with his parents Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, has been granted bail in the alleged land-for-jobs case. Tejashwi called the charges a political vendetta for opposing BJP and expressed his faith in the judiciary. The CBI has accused Lalu of obtaining pecuniary benefits in exchange for appointments in the railways during the 2004-2009 UPA regime. Tejashwi claimed that the case had nothing to do with him as he was a student at the time. The next hearing is scheduled for October 16.
