Telangana govt to provide free electricity to ‘Muslim dhobis’

The Telangana government has extended the free electricity scheme to washermen from the Muslim community. This scheme, which provides free electricity supply up to 250 units per month, was previously available only to backward caste Dhobis. The decision to extend the benefit came after a representation by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi.
