Two women in India, Roza Ramteke and Sanghamitra Kumbhare, have been arrested for poisoning their relatives. Roza wanted to eliminate at least 16 extended family members in order to take control of a 4-acre plot of land. Sanghamitra, on the other hand, wanted to kill only her in-laws to avenge her father’s suicide. The women planned the poisonings using thallium, a highly toxic substance. Roza’s husband is also under investigation as he may have known about or assisted with the plan.
