This festive season, clink glasses to wine made in UP
A winery in Uttar Pradesh, India, is set to launch its first locally made wine during the festival season. The entrepreneur behind the winery has received approval from the excise department and plans to register brand names for the products soon. The winery will offer experiential tours and produce wine from locally sourced fruits, starting with guava-based wine and later expanding to five other fruits. The facility will be run by experts from Maharashtra, and the state government has amended the excise policy to support local wine production. Another winery in Bareilly is also expected to launch its products this year.
