This Indian language, not Hindi, is on New York’s 2024 presidential ballot

New York City offers ballots in Bengali for the upcoming US presidential elections. This decision stems from a lawsuit settlement, that aimed to improve voter participation within the city’s substantial Bengali-speaking South Asian community. Bengali joins Chinese, Spanish, and Korean as the only languages other than English available on ballots.
