This painful skin condition increases risk of heart disease, finds new study

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune skin condition that causes the rapid buildup of skin cells. Normally, skin cells grow and shed over a period of several weeks. However, in individuals with psoriasis, this process is greatly accelerated, with new skin cells rising to the surface in just a matter of days. A new study has found a link between this skin disease and heart complications.
