Threads effect: Instagram head may have ‘good news’ for Elon Musk’s Twitter

Instagram head Adam Mosseri has dismissed the view that Thread would replace Twitter as a social media platform. He highlighted the difference between the two platforms, stating that the latter focused on providing real-time news and the former will steer clear of news and politics to create a less “angry place for conversations”. Meanwhile, Threads aims to become a more compelling platform for content creators. However, it remains unlikely that Thread can keep politics out of the platform, given that elections are coming up in India and the US.
