TN to conduct survey of disabled people
The Tamil Nadu Directorate for Welfare of the Differently Abled will conduct a comprehensive survey to create a database of disabled people in the state. The survey will begin on September 29 and cover five districts initially. The aim is to increase inclusivity, accessibility, and opportunities for disabled individuals. The survey will gather detailed information about disabilities, educational qualifications, family members, and other relevant details. The project, funded by the World Bank, also includes setting up social care service centers, providing therapy services, improving access to public infrastructure, and offering training and livelihood opportunities.
