Toxic air now suspected to increase breast cancer risk

Air pollutants, specifically particulate matter PM 2.5 and PM10, are now suspected of increasing the risk of breast cancer for women. Recent studies conducted in the US and France have shown a correlation between exposure to indoor and outdoor particulate matter and breast cancer. These findings add to the existing evidence linking air pollution to premature deaths and lung cancer.
