Treat PIL seeking dengue data as representation: Delhi HC

The Delhi High Court has asked city authorities to consider a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking accurate data on the spread of dengue this year as a representation. The court stated that everyone has the right to know and that the petitioner should not have approached the court without seeking information from government agencies first. The petitioner, a local newspaper and its editor, alleged that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) had stopped releasing data on dengue cases this year. MCD officers claimed they were doing well to control the spread of dengue.
