Undri resident loses Rs 3L in online task scam

A 25-year-old man from Pune fell victim to an online job scam and was duped of Rs3.07 lakh by cybercriminals. The victim had uploaded his profile on an online job portal and was contacted by fraudsters through a social networking site. They offered him a part-time job writing Google map reviews and gained his trust by transferring small amounts to his bank account. Eventually, they convinced him to invest his money, and he transferred Rs3.07 lakh to their bank account. When he asked for a refund, they asked for an additional Rs50,000 and then stopped responding to him.
