UP: Teacher suspended for 4th time in 17 years

Following an FIR filed by the UP vigilance department against government primary school teacher Chandrakant Sharma for allegedly siphoning Rs 11.46 crore meant for midday meals, Firozabad’s basic shiksha adhikari (BSA) suspended him. But officials in the department said on Thursday that such measures may not be sufficient as “this is the fourth time the teacher has been suspended in the past 17 years”.
