Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar appointed chairperson of National Commission for Women

Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar has taken over as the ninth chairperson of the National Commission for Women, succeeding Rekha Sharma. The government has also appointed Archana Majumdar as a member. Rahatkar’s past leadership includes significant initiatives in women’s rights and social welfare in Maharashtra.
