Vladimir Putin to travel to Kyrgyzstan in first known trip abroad since ICC arrest warrant

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to visit Kyrgyzstan on Thursday, marking his first known trip abroad since the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for him. Putin has rarely left Russia since the start of Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin denies allegations that Putin illegally deported children from Ukraine. The visit comes after Putin agreed in May to visit Kyrgyzstan during talks with President Sadyr Japarov.
