Volodymyr Zelenskyy visits neighboring Romania to discuss security and boost ties

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis to discuss regional security and strengthen bilateral ties in the face of Russia’s invasion. Zelenskyy described the partnership as crucial for stability in Europe and thanked Romania for its military and humanitarian support. They discussed security in the Black Sea region, economic cooperation, infrastructure projects, and Ukraine’s military requests. Romania aims to open a training hub for F-16 fighter jet pilots from NATO countries and other partners, including Ukraine. The two countries also signed an agreement to boost Ukraine’s grain exports through Romania.
