Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have broken the 41-year-old record set by Pradeep Gandhe and Leroy D’sa by reaching the men’s doubles final of the Asian Games. The Indian duo equaled the record and then went on to create history by becoming the first Indian men’s doubles combination to reach the final. They will now face Korea’s Choi Soi Gyu and Kim Won Ho for the gold medal. Gandhe and D’sa, who won bronze in 1982, are thrilled for the young pair and believe they have a good chance of winning the gold.
