West Bengal governor cancels US trip over dengue upsurge in state

West Bengal Governor Dr CV Ananda Bose has cancelled his trip to the USA to attend the World Culture Festival. He felt it would be inappropriate to accept foreign hospitality while the state is facing financial difficulties and dengue deaths. The governor’s decision came just before his scheduled departure.
