Collections for senior citizens’ small savings schemes have surpassed Rs 1 lakh crore in the first half of the fiscal year, fueled by the government’s increased deposit limits. The Senior Citizen Savings Scheme has seen a two-and-a-half times higher collection compared to the previous year. A new small savings scheme for women has also gathered significant deposits.
