Why this Hamas leader is No.1 on Israel’s kill-list

Israeli air strikes in Gaza have killed a senior Hamas commander, Ayman Nofal, who was in charge of the Central Gaza area. This is the eighth top leader of Hamas to be killed in the ongoing airstrikes. Despite these losses, the leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, remains elusive. Sinwar, dubbed the “Butcher of Khan Younis,” is said to be the mastermind behind recent attacks. He is believed to be hiding underground in the tunnels Hamas uses for transportation.
