Addressing rallies in Jharkhand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused Hemant Soren’s government of protecting unauthorized Bangladeshi immigrants for political gain. He pledged that the BJP, if elected, would enact legislation to prevent land transfers to these immigrants and reclaim land acquired through marriages with tribal women.
