Bharuccha had traveled to Israel for the Haifa International Film Festival, where her film ‘Akelli’ was being screened. She praised the Indian and Israeli embassies, hotel staff, and taxi driver for their help during the crisis. The conflict between Israel and Hamas has claimed at least 1,600 lives.
