Work resumes at Kumartuli, puja committees rush to finish pandals

The dry and sunny weather in Kolkata has allowed idol makers and puja organisers to resume work on Durga idols and pandals after a long wet spell. The rains over the past fortnight had hindered preparations for the upcoming Durga Puja festival. However, with the improved weather conditions, organisers are now working to compensate for the lost time. Some puja committees have even hired additional manpower to expedite the work. The idol makers in Kumartuli have also taken measures to protect the idols from rain damage.
