World Cup matches: Ready for any eventuality, says CP
To ensure law and order during the World Cup matches in Ahmedabad, police will deploy drones and additional forces in sensitive areas. The opening day will see 3,500 police personnel and 500 Home Guard jawans deployed. Drones will be used to monitor the area outside the stadium and cyber space for any potential incidents. Police are also prepared to handle any emergencies, including alleged threats from the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) group. Security measures will be in place for all matches, with extra vigilance and additional forces for the India-Pakistan game. Monitoring of hotels and transportation is also being conducted.
