19-year-old US Air Force academy cadet found dead in dorm room

The US Air Force Academy has launched an investigation into the death of 19-year-old Cadet Avery Koonce, found unresponsive in her dorm room. Emergency responders were unable to revive her. Koonce, from Texas, was part of the women’s track and field team and was set to graduate in 2028. Support is being provided to her family and peers.
