3 sites spotted for proposed new Assembly building in Lko

The construction of a new Vidhan Sabha building in Lucknow is gaining momentum, with senior officials presenting possible sites for the project to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Three potential locations were discussed, including a 160-acre site near Chak Gajaria farms on Sultanpur Road, the DGP headquarters and Lucknow Zoo in Narhi, and the expansion of the new Lok Bhawan building to incorporate Darul Shafa. The new building, inspired by the new Parliament building in Delhi, is expected to be ready before 2027. A budgetary provision of Rs 50 crore has been allocated for the project.
