49ers RB Christian McCaffrey misses win over Jets

Christian McCaffrey was unexpectedly absent from the 49ers’ season opener against the Jets due to calf and Achilles injuries. Despite practicing and assurances from team officials, he was ruled out just before the game. Jordan Mason filled in, rushing for 147 yards and scoring a touchdown in McCaffrey’s absence.
