5 parties get Rs 1,200 cr in electoral bonds

Five regional parties received Rs 1,243 crore via electoral bonds in 2022-23, a fall from the previous year. BRS individually received 3.4 times more contributions. Trinamool’s total receipts were contributed 97% by electoral bonds, while DMK’s were 86%, BJD’s were 84%, YSR Congress’s were 70%, and BRS’s were 71%. AAP received Rs 36.4 crore in electoral bonds, with its total income and expenditure increasing. BRS was the top beneficiary, receiving Rs 529 crore. CPM showed a decrease in total receipts and an increase in expenditure.
