World Alzheimer’s Day brings attention to the rising dementia cases in Andhra Pradesh, where 7.7% of individuals aged 60 and above are affected. With projections indicating that by 2036 around 8 lakh people will develop dementia, there is an urgent need for specialised rehabilitation centres and innovative care models tailored to these patients.
