Over 700 girls studying at a government school in Jharkhand’s Chatra district have been eating minimally and drinking less water to avoid using toilets at nearby houses. The school, which has no toilets at present due to renovation work, has caused inconvenience to both students and teachers. While the district authorities and state education department have been informed, no immediate relief has been provided. The state education department has identified schools in need of restroom facilities and is currently working on constructing them in around 113 schools.
