Tamil Nadu to get two more doppler radars to track cyclones

The Tamil Nadu government initiated a tender for installing two doppler weather radars in Yercaud and Ramanathapuram to enhance cyclone tracking. These additional radars aim to cover regions currently outside the range of existing radars in Chennai, Karaikal, and Sriharikota, particularly the southern and north interior districts of the state.
