‘Failed to manage garbage’: MCG likely to snap ties with Ecogreen

The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has recommended terminating its contract with solid waste management concessionaire Ecogreen due to its failure to meet waste collection and recycling targets. MCG stated that Ecogreen, contracted six years ago, has not achieved 100% door-to-door waste collection or waste segregation targets. The concessionaire has also failed to resolve public complaints and has not met recycling objectives. The ULB department is currently reviewing the recommendation, and no final decision has been made yet. Ecogreen has not commented on the matter.
