Delhi minister Gopal Rai calls meet to check bad air at hotspots

The Environment minister of Delhi, Gopal Rai, has conducted a meeting with officials to address pollution at hotspots in the city. He highlighted that the number of good air quality days has increased from 109 in 2016 to 200 in 2023. Action plans have been created for 13 hotspots, with coordination teams and continuous monitoring in place. Specific issues such as biomass burning, traffic congestion, and unpaved roads have been identified at different locations. Construction problems and traffic congestion are prevalent in Punjabi Bagh and RK Puram, while biomass burning and road dust affect Wazirpur.
