India pushes parity in diplomatic presence

India has reiterated its demand for Canada to reduce its staff strength in Indian missions, claiming that Canadian diplomats were involved in anti-India activities. The Indian government stated that it is working towards achieving parity in diplomatic presence and that its demand is in accordance with the Vienna Convention. India also reminded Canada of the core issue between the two countries, which is Canada’s alleged support for terrorists and criminals.
