Pilibhit hospital finally gets women doctors

The Uttar Pradesh medical administration has taken action following a TOI report on September 30 on how rape survivors were staying away from medical tests due to absence of female doctors at Pilibhit district women’s hospital. Since June 1 this year, at least 70 of 79 rape survivors who visited the hospital refused to be medically examined by male gynaecologists.
