Inflation softens, falls below 6% after long period in Telangana

Telangana’s inflation rate has dropped below 6% in September, a significant relief for the state government. Previously, the inflation rate had exceeded 10%, causing concerns for the Reserve Bank of India and governments across states. Rural inflation, which was higher than urban inflation, has also decreased. The current inflation rate of 5.97% is within the RBI’s target range of 2-6%. While food inflation pressures have not completely eased, the rate seems to be stabilizing for now.
