Festivities drive 10% growth in car deliveries

Automobile dealers in Gujarat experienced a boost in sales during the festive season, with over 85,000 two-wheelers and 19,000 cars delivered. This represents a 10% growth in car deliveries and a 15% increase in two-wheeler demand compared to the previous year. However, spot bookings and immediate deliveries were no longer possible due to changes in vehicle registration regulations. Demand for two-wheelers, especially motorcycles and gearless scooters, has seen significant growth. While there was higher demand for SUVs and feature-rich compact cars, the demand for electric vehicles declined due to reduced government subsidies.
