Called back from morning walk, min escorted to ED car after 21 hours

On Friday, the central forces guarding Jyoti Priya Mallick’s residence were replaced by uniformed personnel from the Bidhanagar Police as the ED officers left with the minister. The crowd outside Mallick’s house had increased as the ED interrogation continued on Thursday, leading to the deployment of police and CRPF jawans. Mallick’s daughter and brother left the house on Friday morning, expressing concern over his health. Later, Mallick collapsed in court and was taken to the hospital. Neighbors described him as a regular visitor to the local park for morning walks. The events have left local officials stunned.
