India smartphone market grows in Q4 2023

The Indian smartphone market showed growth in Q4 2023, with a 20% year-on-year increase in shipments of 38.9 million units, according to a report by Canalys. Although the overall smartphone market in India experienced a minor drop of 2% in 2023, it showed resilience in the latter part of the year due to improved consumer confidence. Samsung maintained its lead with a 20% market share, followed by Xiaomi and Vivo. Xiaomi and Realme saw their highest offline shipment share in Q4 2023, contributing to the overall stabilization of the market.
