A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck off Crete, a southern Greek resort island, on Wednesday. The Athens Geodynamic Institute reported the quake at 7:29 pm local time between Crete and Gavdos, at a depth of 11.6 kilometres. Authorities noted no immediate injuries or damage, though the temblor was felt across the tourist destination island.
