After 15-hour operation, leopard shot dead in B’luru

A leopard, which had been terrorizing residential areas in Bengaluru for five days, was shot dead after a 15-hour operation. Forest officials attempted to capture the leopard twice but had to resort to shooting it as it became increasingly aggressive and injured a veterinarian and a forester. The leopard was taken to Bannerghatta Biological Park for treatment but succumbed to its injuries. The decision to shoot the leopard was made due to the dangerous situation it posed.
