Airport traffic: After Sun chaos, cop focus on VIP Rd, New Town

After traffic chaos on Sunday, police in Kolkata deployed additional forces and implemented puja-specific traffic measures to ensure smooth movement for airport-bound traffic on VIP Road and New Town Main Arterial road. The deployment resulted in a drop in crowd count on Monday, with 80% less people compared to Sunday. Police have instructed long-distance buses and trucks to take alternative routes, and have stationed officers to monitor the situation and make necessary diversions. The aim is to keep VIP Road free for airport-bound vehicles while minimizing congestion in New Town.
