Akal Takht declares Sukhbir Singh Badal ‘tankhaiya’ — guilty of religious misconduct

The Akal Takht has declared Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal guilty of religious misconduct for decisions made during his tenure from 2007 to 2017. Badal has been criticized for negatively affecting the party and harming Sikh interests. He has requested unconditional forgiveness and submitted his explanation on July 24. Other Sikh ministers must appear within 15 days.
