All 12 of Baghel’s team in Congress’s first list of 30, 8 MLAs shown the door

The governing Congress party in Chhattisgarh has announced its first list of 30 candidates for the upcoming state assembly elections. While all 12 members of the Bhupesh Baghel ministry have been retained, eight legislators have been dropped and replaced with new faces. The party has also included state party president Deepak Baij as a candidate in the insurgency-hit Bastar region.
