All farmers to get unique IDs, similar to Aadhaar cards, in the next three years

India is set to introduce unique Farmer IDs for all farmers within three years, connecting them to extensive agricultural data. This initiative under the Digital Agriculture Mission aims to enhance service delivery and policy-making through digital crop surveys and soil profile mapping, ensuring precise agricultural data collection.
