Amid festivals, state and Jharkhand election window likely in November

The Election Commission managed tight schedules for assembly polls in Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana. With J&K polls starting August 20 and concluding by October 6, Haryana’s polls could not be synchronised. Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections are likely to be held in November, considering festivals and logistical advantages before their respective assembly terms end.
