Assam nurse refuses to leave Tel Aviv, vows wartime service

Nurses from Northeast India working in Tel Aviv, Israel, are not planning to return despite the recent attacks by Hamas militants. Bharati Shivakoti, a nurse from Manipur, is confident that the Israeli government will protect them. She and her family are not worried about the immediate consequences of the conflict. Many Indian nurses are attracted to work in Israel due to better pay. Bharati’s husband, Darpan, also believes that the Indian government will make the right decision regarding their safety if necessary.
